As the cold dark evenings come to an end, you need a new fashion staple to take over from the longer length wool pea coats and thick parkas.
Moving between seasons can be tricky but for me, it’s a great time to experiment and have fun with colours and especially texture.

A good bomber jacket is an essential piece, it’s a must for any guy looking to master the dilemma of “Do I take a coat? Yes? No?…What you wearing?..”
Don’t lie, you do that! This is a safe place.

But I bet you already have a bomber, right? It will either be a navy nylon, elasticated cuff style jacket. Or a black cotton Harrington style jacket. Which is fine, they are classic styles. But what’s fun about that?
I’d like to show you some styles that are easy to wear, won’t cost a fortune but will add something new to your fashion armour.

Outfit 1
I love this Religion, faux suede and leather patchwork bomber for £125 in grey/black is an instant hit. Cut and sew style clothing has been done before but this is the first time I've seen it addressed in this way. What it lacks in interesting colour it beyond makes up for in style. Perfect to add a standout piece to your all black ery’thing outfit.

Outfit 2
Wait, what? Velour? Hell Yes! You don't have to be in a Little Britain sketch or Sean Combs to be able to pull off velour. Through spring/ summer, it's a great way to add a bold colour you will not have in your wardrobe.

Outfit 3
I remember myself writing "won't cost a fortune.." well I lied a little. If you like this look it is drastically more expensive but there really isn't a better jacket on the high street right now. The Basse grey full suede jacket (yes real leather) will set you back £375 from Reiss. I've paired it with the soft pink cashmere jumper, and stone chino.

Outfit 4
Going back to Religion, staying tonal is a great way to mix up the usual navy trousers and 'whatever is clean look'. Love the random pocket detail on this piece it's only £85. I've mixed up the texture with the ASOS waffle knit jumper.

Outfit 5
Revamp of a classic. This tweed bomber from Heart & Dagger pairs perfectly with navy soft wool trousers. Tweed in this sense is much more casual and easy to wear. Wearing stripes underneath gives the outfit more interest from further away.
